A Thank You to Jimmy Peggie
6/12/2011

Musician Jimmy Peggie was kind enough to allow me to use his haunting track "City of Spent Dreams" for the video documentation of my Green-Wood drawing. The video scrolls across a panoramic view of Brooklyn's Green-Wood Cemetery. Peggie's track sets the perfect tone.
Thanks Jimmy!
(Video can be found in the Green-Wood gallery on this site)

My Art Education Website is Revamped!
9/3/2009

I've spent a good part of August updating this site with new features and galleries. It shows another side of my life as an artist, highlighting my work as a teacher. The glorious image before you was made by a super-talented kid named Samantha from PS 95 in the Bronx. She made it in an art club I was running through the Dreamyard Project. I believe she was in the 7th grade. I sorry but y'all can't front on this image!

  Killer Apps Tee Shirt!
8/2/2009

I designed this new tee shirt as part of my goal to create a variety of low budget multiples. While there's no edition number set for this project, it's safe to say there's only a handful of em floating around.
The source imagery was taken from the Heidelberger Totentanz, printed in 1488, and photoshopped to speak to the present. I marvel at how how well those skulls fit in with contemporary aesthetics.
You can pick em up on Etsy for a mere $16 plus shipping-just click the link!

Working Proof State 1 at Muskat Studios
3/20/2009

I'm in a small group show at Muskat Studios in Somerville, MA through April 25th. Muskat Studios is a fine art lithographic printshop, run by Carolyn Muskat, a wonderful artist and master printer. The show is a first in a series featuring the many artists and designers who have worked for her over the years. 11 years ago I worked as an assistant sponging down plates, tearing reams of paper, and learning as much as I could about litho and surviving as a professional artist.
